Immaculate, knowledgeable and organised to help achieve success.

The world of events has changed greatly over the years and continues to evolve. The right toastmaster is one who is able to adapt established protocols, and brings a wide knowledge and expertise to your event, whether a traditional function, or one with a modern twist.

It really is an essential asset having the right toastmaster to support you.

A successful event

One thing all events have in common is that their success, and the enjoyment of the guests, reflects upon the professional reputation of the organisation itself, the sponsors and the planners.

In the busy modern world, making events attractive to attend, when time is so precious, is vital – so they must be delivered properly.  Guests return regularly to successful events!

I never forget that it is both an honour and also a responsibility to work as your toastmaster and that my contribution is important to make the event a success.

From start to finish, your involvement and advice was invaluable.

Planning assistance

In order to understand exactly how the event is to run, I am happy to meet organisers and take part in a run through at the venue in advance of the event to leave nothing to chance.

I will gladly give advice about etiquette if requested and use my considerable experience to suggest ways to possibly fine tune your function.

That said, I am very flexible and I always remember that it is your event and it should be run in the order, with the atmosphere, and to the timings you particularly require.

On the day – collaboration and a joint effort

In a similar way to weddings, this requires that I liaise closely, effectively and diplomatically with a range of people, so that I know who is doing what and when.

These may include venue staff, particularly the events and banqueting teams; the event host; independent event planner if applicable; AV, lighting and production teams; photographers and videographers; and entertainers.

Whether the event is relatively small, where the coordination and management only requires a light touch, of if it is a very large and full event with a busy programme, I can adapt my style to suit the occasion and your requirements.

I have worked throughout the UK and across Europe at a whole range of events including:

  • Banquets
  • Balls
  • City Livery events
  • Royal events
  • Civic events and receptions
  • Diplomatic receptions
  • Charity fundraising functions
  • Award ceremonies
  • Jewish Simchas
  • Corporate annual dinners
  • Masonic festivals
  • Corporate hospitality events

One thing they have in common is that they all require constant attention, a flexible approach and diligent, respectful coordination.
